In developing the brand experience for The Liberty Hotel, Korn Design began by creating a careful juxtaposition between the property’s storied past as a jail and its current incarnation as a chic and contemporary luxury urban hotel.
The brand identity uses graphic interpretations of quintessential elements of the site, such as the lobby’s signature oculus window and the original jail key interpreted, and pairs these with a fresh take on classic typography and a color palette inspired by mid-19th Century New England to give the hotel a clean look that is firmly rooted with history.
Small surprises and attention to detail at every turn inspire and infuse the guest experience throughout with a distinct sense of place.
